2010 BansheeHQ Ride Little Sahara, OK in October

Recommended Posts

Well it looks like I am trying to plan a trip in October for either the weekend of the 15th or the 22nd. I would like to go earlier but I can't afford to break anything on the motor before hillclimb season is over with.

I have been talking to Andy at M&M and we thought it would be a cool idea for as many site sponsors that can to attend. I know that some of you guys are a long ways away and that's why I am starting this thread now.

I really want this to be a HUGE BansheeHQ ride. I know there are tons of members that have already said they will be down to go.

So anyone that has any input or ideas please post them in this thread.

Well Tyler you already know that im in!

What i was thinking about for this ride was to really try and get a big hq ride in with all the site sponsors. I really want to showcase our work as many of your know, and many dont, we do not just sell parts. We build a lot of motors. We have a in house dyno in a 16000 sq/ft shop. As most of you know me a and Tim at Stellar do alot of business together and Tim is always telling me that people on this site just dont know that you build badass motors. So with this trip we were thinking that if we could get all of the site sponsors, builders and non-builders, together it would really give us a chance to showcase our work. Im not going to speak for Tim but he said he was very interested in coming and i told him i would put a bike together for him (in progress...)! I know Jeff at FAST isnt to far of a drive either so hopefully we can talk him into coming as well. Tyler said he could get JD to come possibly, and if Cameron cant come well Tyler has one of his motors that can represent. We chose LS just bc of its central location for everybody to come. I talked to David Noss just the other day he was saying he still has a bike and has been needing to get it out and dust it off so i might just have to harass him into to going as well. It really dont have to be a personal shop bike because all of the builders on here have customers that have bikes to represent. We have a bunch of shop bikes and a bunch of really good customers that have built awesome bikes as well.

What i would like to see is just a little friendly competition, kind of a king of the dunes type of thing. I understand that its really unfair with the wide range of motors sizes being built today to say XXXX was the fastest there. We all know that what each other has for the most part so i think it would be killer to have like a 5-10 bike at a time race best out of 10 dune style racing competition. Maybe it would be to difficult to organize but it sure would be fun even if we could all just get our sponsors there and show the HQ crowd what were capable of. Even if we make this just a dune race with no organization what so ever it would really make it easier for the average bhqer to pick a builder, seeing some of there work, meeting and talking to them, and maybe even getting to ride something they built.

We need to set a date im good for whatever works for everybody else. I would advise all of you guys that are interested in going to think about making reservations for your spot so you dont have to worry about that.

My thoughts exactly Andy. Basically one big BansheeHQ showcase.

Do you have the link for the campsite reservations? There are some good spots in South camp that would be good places for a bunch of BansheeHQ members to get in together. You probably know even better than I do Andy.

October 15th is Okstate's fall break, so most likely our group will be there. Unless they were wanting to go to sandfest and that's it, but most likely the 15th will be busy there.

Sounds like I need to get an override ordered asap

Stock stroke stock cylinder port jobs are real popular and i think that we should have some sort of stock cylinder heads up racing!!

sounds good to me, mine was running decent last weekend and i should have new tires by then too.

Our yearly spots are 144 and 143 up in the new stuff. Really anything up there is nice cause its not a lot of traffic.

Is that up on the hill Andy? So if I reserve some stuff I should probably do it up that way? I am not really that particular about a spot. I just wanna snag a few so that we have room for a lot of people. I don't mind throwing down on a couple extra spots for the extra room.

Also, I just checked and it doesn't show 143 and 144 available. I am thinking maybe I should get 142 and 141?
