PsycoBanshee99
I have a 1999 Banshee, the throttle stuck wide open last time i rode it and i shut it down and it wouldnt start again, i noticed i wasnt getting spark so i did all the tests and stuff and found the TORS were bad and the ignition coil was bad. so i got the TORS elimination kit and a new coil and now i have good spark but it still wont fire. any suggestions? please help. fastbanshee8
Take the carbs apart, one at a time, clean them, and reassemble them. Don't switch the bowls around, or it will cause problems, and make sure the slide cut outs face the rear of the bike.

pondtunes
ok took them apart and cleaned them one by one put everything back together and same issue. still doesnt start. When trying to kick it over are your plugs wet with fuel? <- meaning kick it several times, give it some gas when you do it then if it still doesn't try to fire pull the plugs and make sure they've got fuel on em. Have you done a compression check?
PsycoBanshee99
i put my finger over the hole and kicked it and it has compression, when i give the quad gas the sleeves stay up in the carbs since i put the TORS removal kit on. its giving me such a headache i just want it to run lol i dont kno anything about motorcycle engines so i went in blind on this one lol. the plugs appear wet but it just wont fire idkkk
Idontknowwhy
The slides hang open?
323manshee
Sounds like the slides aren't aligned with the idle screws. They shouldn't be open all the way up. If you do manage to get it started its gonna rev like crazy! Take the tops off and make sure you align them right and get a compression tester and do a correct compression test.
