.......She said that she did not know and that she would call him back. My dad receives a call back from her stating that her son works for a Banshee builder and that they run them all the time with no issues.........

......I call Sprocket Specialists and talk to Dee Dee. I tell her the issue and she says that she "sells these sprockets all the time" and there's never an issue. I say, well they will not work on a stock Banshee hub. She says that the hub might have to be modified and that she isn't responsible for knowing that when she specifically told my dad that the chain would clear the hub.......

This makes no sense, She had to call her son to see if they would clear, if she sell them all the time then why would she have to find out? Shouldnt she know already.

And if the hub would need to be modified how would she know to modify it or if it would even work with out knowing the EXACT problem? She must have incountered this problem before.

Many companies that sell atv stuff have bad customer services. I can name one of your site sposnors.

But its not worth bashing a business. B/c it won't change anything.

Thats a bitch move, why even mention that a site sponsor has bad customer service and then not mention the name. Dont bring shit up if its not worth it to begin with.

Im willing to bet he just making shit up just to stir some shit.

asphalt dragger good for you, you like people who tell you one thing ,and get another. 99% of people want what they are told, know if you dont care about what you spend your hard earned money on good for you but we do, and even if everyone doesnt stop buying from them the knowledge of knowing what you are dealing w/is good to know. thanks loco for the heads up since im buying front and rear sprockets this week.

i will also be buying 4 sets of front and rear sprockets here very soon for my and my girlfriends bikes... thats 8 sprockets total... and i can guarantee you after reading this thread i will definitely be looking elsewhere than sprocket specialties.

what a crock... i hate shady customer service. customers are the only reason you have a business to start with. some people are not very smart.

here on HQ most of of try to be honest and deal with honest people, based on loco's story sprocket specialist's gave him bad info and on top of it tried to fuck him out of a refund instead of trying to correct it and maybe set him up with different sprockets.to me business's that aren't fair are similar to the scumbags that steal bikes  how is side winder? they have some pretty impressive claims

I've never used their stuff on a trail bike, I know those who have on drag bikes and they aren't worth a shit...

Cheaper chains and sprockets last fine where I've seen a few sidewinder chains snap despite their high "tensile strength".

side winder makes some bold claims I know most of us have seen their ads in atv and dirt bike mags.I've snapped to renthal chains on my built 86 ATC250R,then I went to D.I.D. and at one point bought a second D.I.D. X ring because I thought the first one I put on was almost done but that first one never gave up.I feel D.I.D. makes good chains but as far as sprockets I've always skimped and actually been planning on getting some good ones for my shee

I didn't read every response.. but loco, does the 530 chain help that much? ive been snapping 520's left and right, but I didnt think stepping up to a 530 would help much since they are all rated on tensile strength anyways and i could get a 520 in the same strenght. Have you ever checked into Ti parts? I was thinkin about ordering custom 38/17 Ti sprokets/chain from sidewinder. Anyone have experience with them?

I have sidewinder tri-moly sprockets on my yfz set up for MX. The best product they make is their chain wax, it works really really well, doesn't sling anywhere and seems to hold up really well. I have a 10,000 lb non o-ring chain on my yfz and i haven't noticed much stretch at all. Sprockets show NO signs of wear and have been on there for 2 years now. I can say i saw a front sidewinder crumble on an LTR at the track one day, half was still intact and the other half just crumbled like a cookie. I have had good luck with my sidewinder products. I realize that i'm not running them on a 100 horse banshee or anything, I'm making around 55 horse in my yfz. The last thing i have to say about sidewinder is they have great customer service. The guy who crumbled the the sprocket was sent a new one no questions asked with overnight shipping. Granted that a crumbled sprocket will do you no good at the track or trails, they will stand behind their product. I like my sidewinder stuff, but i don't know if i would spend another 300-350 on their chain and sprockets.

you should be able to find 520 chain that is just as strong if not stronger than any 530 chain. part of the reason i went with 530 was to be able to run the wider sprocket on my big motor. i have crumbled 520 sprockets with my 10mm cub so i can imagine what my DM would do to them.

i have no personal experience with sidewinder, but have read some good and some bad reviews on them.

personally, i ran primary drive stuff for years with d.i.d chain and never had an issue.

Cool, do you run O ring or non? Ive only crushed one front sproket, but ive been through 4 chains.
