I found the setup for YFZ frontend!

Well after putting on my full YFZ frontend, the shocks (set full soft all around) about broke my wrists after riding for 20 minutes. They are ridiculously stiff. They're oversprung, and valved for a much different machine. I ended up going with a set of 400ex front shocks. They're about 1/2" longer than the yfz's. They're the same length as 250r shocks as well (16 1/4). So they bring the height to a good level. They also seem to be sprung and valved MUCH better. THe ones I got are works with triple rate springs and i THINK they're for +2 arms for the 400ex. Hopefully this helps someone...I don't see how anyone could ride with the yfz shocks. If you are, your suspension isn't working anywhere near how it should be. If sending the YFZ shocks out to have them resprung and revalved...trade them off for a set of 400ex or 250r works shocks. I'm couldn't be happier that I did.

thats why yfz450 shocks belong on a yfz450 and honda shocks belong on a honda. youre totally changing the geometry of the banshee front end by running the 450 setup and its never going to be as effective as banshee arms with properly set up banshee shocks.

As said many times before...for the money I have in this yfz frontend its 10000 times better than a factory setup. Does it peform as well as a 400 dollar set of a arms with a 1000 dollar set of shocks, no. For the 250 dollars I have in it, the performance far exceeds my needs. I highly recommend it to anyone recreationally riding (95% of us).
