WannaBeeRider
ok im buying a banshee and my freinds think there 450s and 700rs will eat my banshee. im 220. there about 150-200 the 450s have a pipe, jets, cam, no airbox. and one is ported mid-top,20in tyres, stock gearing. my banshee would have vforce 3, t-5 pipes, half lids, stock timing, possibly bored slightly over, and possible port. would i smoke them all with out a port? with the port job would i kick there ass? locogato11283
it could go either way. they will have the weight advantage and the 450's run hard. i say buy the banshee and build a motor that will whip their asses every time. sandman81
what you guys gonna run them on asphalt, dirt, or sand. Traction can end up being a problem, and just like loco said those 450 run hard and so do those 700, assuming you talkind about raptor, watch out for those raptor with pipes. baker
i dont know what you guys are talkin about but i dont have much in my shee, its only 40 over with ported cylinders and fmf fattys and my buddys raptor 700 dont even come close, also have a buddy with a polaris predator 500 and a honda 450r and they all get smoked. not sure why honestly but my shee must have been a good one i guess. nothing comes close shit by 3rd gear on the shee them guys are eating the 2stroke smoke, lol. they are all impressed by this thing and i am a redneck with about 2500 into each shee i own, which is nothing compared to most of the bikes on here. i would have to thank the ported cylinders i guess. all in all id say it depends on your riding ability in the long run
dunner250
Stock or close to stock Raptor or 450. Start adding mods the banshee.

RagunCajun
I predict you will play catchup if they can ride. And doing so, you MIGHT catch up when you are in 6th gear if the road is long enough. spinning aint winning.
06specialedition
I used to have a yfz 450 with exhaust, intake, hot cams, 44mm lectron carb....I would run with some banshee's, but if they were ported they would SMOKE me. GET IT PORTED AND YOU'LL SCREAM!!!!! ps..why do you think I sold my 450 for a shee

SNTBANSHEE
drop 50-60 lbs and you can hand them their asses How is he supposed to race without a tank and back wheels?
dajogejr
all in all id say it depends on your riding ability in the long run That sums it all up right there. Porting, riding and setup to get the power to the ground. To the OP..if your porting isn't very aggressive, it's ported for shit or tuned for shit...you're going to get it handed to you. They have a big time weight advantage and the newer 4 pokes are no joke...except for the Predaturd.

My 07 YFZ was very fast and it could put the power to the ground, but i think its best asset was the weight. And yes the Predaturd blows. Experience will be the deciding factor here, i think. RagunCajun
Just wanted to say again you gotta get the power to the ground. Especially on the holeshot. When i got ported i got my butt handed to me cuz i was spinning till 4th. It's a bad feeling when you read you are going to spank anything and go try and lose most races.
