DUALSTROKE Posted April 22, 2010 Report Share Posted April 22, 2010 Sorry if this is in the wrong section.Hi guys I am a frequent visitor but don't sign on much.I have a bad deal with cp customs and figured I would pass it on to you all.Well a few months back i ordered a swingarm from Craig Patterson owner of cp customs.Everything went well on the phone and was very accomadating.We had agreed for him to build me a +4 roundhouse swingarm with extra bracing and skid plate mounting tabs.He did not have a blaster rear skidplate to match up to so I sent him mine and Craig stated he would just put it in the box with my swingarm once it was complete.Craig stated it would only take a week to build.Well skidplate was shipped and shortly after he stopped answering my calls and will not even contact me.I was alos going to pay him an extra $175 to chrome it,thank god I didn't go through with that at first.Unfortunately I am an idiot for sending him $385 as a "gift" through paypal.Worst mistake ever and I know it now.But in the end I am acustomer and you should deliver the goods.I am not even a nagging customer,just keep in touch.Well heres how it goes. On Feb 10th I spoke to Craig himself on the phone and we talked about the details.I sent him the skidplate on the same day.$18 and change to ship it to him. On Feb 11th I sent the money via paypal $385 Feb 16th the skidplate arrived to him. Feb 19th I called him on the phone and got no answer and left no message,He called back 10 minutes later asking if someone called craig.I spoke to him and he said it was not done yet cause the storms and rain and power outages were holding him up.He stated he would finish it in the next few days.He asked Iif I was going with the pc or chrome,I stated chrome.He said he was going to stop by the chromers that night and get back to me with an exact price. Well many of many of calls later and no answer,no call backs, no response just takes your money and run.So I am out $385 for the swingarm,$18 to ship the sidplate, and an ac racing rear swingarm skidplate(paid about $100 a year ago. I would not do any business with cp cutoms or craig patterson,if you do you will get taken.So $500 is about the magic number.I have had enough,time to tell all of you guys to steer clear of this thieving scammer. Fast-Fibers Posted April 23, 2010 Report Share Posted April 23, 2010 I am sorry to hear about your misfortunes....... all I can say is that next time deal with the HQ site sponsors, there may be a cheaper product out there but you are paying for quality and customer service. Tim at Stellar builds some of the best looking swing arms around at a reasonable price. Again, sorry about your luck and thanks for the warning! Brandon, it says their transaction started at the beginning of February. That's over 2 months ago. More than ample time to call and notify someone if something did happen. Well it has been 10 weeks since I have heard a peep.I have also had others call him from states near by and get him on the phone.Believe me I wouldn't go after anyone on a forum unless I have evidence to back it.This is for real and paypal will not do anything after 45 days. I heard a lot of good things about Tim at Stellar. Good guy to do business with. HQ Sponsors are the best people to go to when you need something or even just advise. I've got a +10 custom swingarm from him and now I'm sending him my sub-frame for a makeover. I can't say enough good things about Tim and his buisness. DUALSTROKE Posted April 23, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 23, 2010 Well After all the hype on the forums and all the members from forums calling him and leaving messages the phone finally rang.Last night at 11 pm my cell rings and it's craig.Cariag states his "guys" shipped my swinger weeks ago and forgot to put my skidplate in the box,that he would refund my money via paypal and ship my skidplate back that if I recieved the swingarm to ship it back to him.Craig states he has been going through a divorce.Bottom line is it was never shipped,first of all I never paid for return shipping,second we were going to chrome this for a finish,third why paypal me money back if the swingarm was shipped.Bottom line is swingarm was never shipped.I will end this thread when I get my swingarm skidplate back and when I do then I will be happy.I officially got my $385 via paypal back 10 minutes after I spoke to him last night.We will see if the skidplate shows up.I still wouldn't reccomend this comapny to anyone.But am very happy to get my $385 back so far.Thanks for all your help guys,It is very appreciated.It's nice to know we have good memebrs looking out for others.
