tmecars
Hey everyone, I've been lurking on this site for awhile while saving up for a Shee. I love his site and I've learned a hell of a lot about Banshees even though I dont yet own one. I currently have a couple of 3 wheelers (1985 250R and a 1986 Tecate) but I'm looking for something a bit more modern, reliable and parts friendly. I've wanted a Banshee for a LOONNNG time and I'm finally getting ready to pull the trigger. I've been watching the DFW Craigslist and I haven't seen a Shee with an asking price of less than $3000!!!! Most of them are advertised for around $3500 but that seems REALLY high. I've seen modern 4 stroke race quads advertised for the same price! Are there any Texas people here that can tell me if the market for Banshees is really that strong in Dallas/Ft. Worth? My price range is $2000-$2500 ideally and I'm looking for a clean, stock machine (I'll get my own mods later). I've read about several people on this site that very recently found bikes in great shape for my kind of money albeit in other parts of the country. I really want a Banshee but if I cant find one for less than $3K I may have to go the 4 stroke route. Thanks in advance for the feedback and again, EXCELLENT SITE! locogato11283
welcome to HQ bro there are literally THOUSANDS of pages of information here. look around and if you dont see what youre looking for, dont hesitate to ask someone. i think you should be able to find a banshee for less than 3,000 with no problem. here in the midwest you can pick them up all the time for next to nothing. there are lots of members in your area that should be able to help you locate a good running bike. springer
i'm in wichita falls, so kinda close and i picked my shee up for 2100 with t-5s, reeds, elka susp with +2+1 up front and extra sand tires for all 4 corners. i was watching dfw craigslist a few months ago cuz i was gonna pick another shee up and saw several in your price range. thing about cl, everything seems to go in phases. if your not seeing what you want now, be patient (i'm not at all) and in a month or so, there will be tons. dont jump on the 4 poke wagon unless thats what you want. seems like everytime i settle for something on cl or similar, what i want shows up for a good price shortly after. i'm sure you've seen this, but it was just posted today. if its not exactly what you want, might make a good starter platform to make your own. http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/for/1703741253.html
