YFZ shock rubs arm

-Herbie-

Recommended Posts

installed aftermarket arms, brand unknown and yfz shocks. the shock does not rub the arm when still but while riding and frame is flexing & moving around it rubs cause a little of the pc is scarred.

Do i have the upper arms on the correct side of the bike? Any suggestions on how to fix?

Looks to me that your arms are on correctly. How do your spacers look on the top mount? Are the spacers the same length? Are they on correctly? My arms are made by Wicked and the 450 shocks sit close as well, but not as close as yours does. Check the spacers on the top arm and make sure you cant rearrange them so that your top arm can be moved a little closer to the rear of the bike.

Thanks for replying. Yea the spacers are all the same size so moving them around doesn't change anything. Your shocks never come in contact with the arms. Mine are barely rubbing but enough to scratch the arms and shocks a little.

cut 3/16 of an inche off the back spacer and move it to the front spacer, that should give you the clearance you need
