Fastassbanshee96
Just did a rebuild and put on cool head with 19cc domes. Now the left side won't fire. I checked the carb sync and it's perfect. I switched the plug wire and it does the same thing. Carbs were cleaned and running perfect befor the rebuild. I have no clue what to check now besides tearing the carb down and cleaning it again but I don't think it's it cause it won't fire when it's reved up either. Any ideas. Larry's Shee
My son's 87 had a misfire when we got it. Pulled flywheel, cleaned poles on stator, nubs on flywheel for pick-up, and pick-up coil. Bamm, good to go. Your results may vary, lol. Costs nothing to try other than a puller. What kind of gaskets did you use on your rebuild. I had the same problem I used some cheaper gaskets and not the OEM ones and I was getting some coolant leaking into the left cylinder, replaced it and it ran fine after. Fastassbanshee96
I think I just found the problem.... I figured I would pull the plug and see what it looked like foe shits and giggles. Well needless to say the whole plug was snaped. All the threads are stuck in the head. Well dome I guess cause it's a cool head. Weather it was broke when I was trying to fix it or if it broke when I was taking it out I don't know. If it was broke when I was trying to fire it, would it still spark or no. I would imagin it wouldn't but I could be wrong.
