dajogejr
Compression ratio, NOT cranking compression dictate the need for octane. http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html
bansheeboyjp5
so what does that mean? how would i check the ratio and what numbers would determine if i can run 93 pump or race fuel?
overrevtricky
Compression ratio, NOT cranking compression dictate the need for octane. http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html That link just made my day!! thank you much kind sir! I'm in the same boat you are bansheeboyjp5. Put a modquad head on with 18cc domes. Compression tested at 160, so I am going with Avgas 100LL, as I can get away with it at that compression. It's a great alternative to 110 race gas. Edited April 15, 2010 by overrevtricky
