AdrenalineJunky
I can't get the bike tuned from 0-1/4 throttle. The closest I have got it is when I turn the air screw out a bunch to lean it out. I installed a 27.5 pilot when I installed the idle kit. If I lean it out much more though it doesn't wanna idle down. My mods are T5's, VForce reeds, reed spacer, boost bottle, K&N w/lid (for now). I have to screw the idle screws all the way in also after grinding all I can really grind off the boss. Elevation is about 600ft, around 80F
okbeast
You will be fine with a 25 pilot with those mods. Try that and see if you can get it to run fine.
AdrenalineJunky
I guess I will try that then. On a side not I just checked the gearing and its 15 up front and looks like 41 in rear. 15 is suprising cuz it will pull the wheels pretty easy. Guess I will drop to a 14 though as I am a woods rider. 13 might be overkill. I will try changing the pilot out and see what that does. AdrenalineJunky
Well that question confused me! I am in process of rejetting it and just put a 330 in it as I didn't get any bog with a 310. I am going to drop down to the 25 pilot and see how that works. Remember that the cut away on the bottom of the slide goes to the back of the carb. Reverse will cause a major lack of air flow at low engine speeds. AdrenalineJunky
Well they'll only go one way won't they? The ramp for the idle screw has to face the screw right?
AdrenalineJunky
Back of the carb as in towards motor or towards air filter? I believe the flat side is facing the air filter, the beveled side is facing engine.

Michael Jackson
no reason a piped banshee WITH A LID in that temperature needs a 27.5 pilot, go back to stock i remember years ago how many arguments would start over pilot jets, there are a lot of people with piped baneshees running huge pilot jets because there is a certain chart somewhere on this website that gives some shitty info, some people just copy and paste it and the shitty info continues to grow

AdrenalineJunky
Well when I started working on it, it was still cold weather and was having problems starting and idling and didn't even have the idle kit in it when I got it. So I figured surely need the 27.5 but with the warm temps now looks like ain't gonna need it. I haven't had it wide open with the 330 in it but with the 310 it never so much as bogged or hesitated at all wide open that is why I went up to 330. Hopefully I can switch out the pilot tonight and give it a run at wide open also. So is the slide in right the way I have it. It's the way it was when I got it and seems right. SNTBANSHEE
Anyone care to verify? If the beveled side is faceing the engine they are in wrong.

AdrenalineJunky
Are you serious? The flat side is facing the air filter and the half moon bevel is facing the engine. WTF so dumbasses that messed with it before put them in wrong carbs? Anyone have a pic of what it's supposed to look like?
