stwdoug
I really need some help. I've read the articles on rejetting but I'm still stuck. I have a 2001 with a DG exhaust and type 2 oval silencers. I'm running without the airbox lid and I have the K&N air filter with outerwear. The engine has been bored 50 over (I don't know if that makes a difference.) I went with a 27.5 pilot and 300 mains. I'm 869 feet above sea level and the temp is 50-80. The jugs are not ported. Anyway, my problem is I can't get it to idle for crap. When I give it gas it seems like it's bogging down and then when I rev it up it goes away but does it again if I let off the gas and try it again. I went back to the stock 25 on the pilot and that didn't help. Can someone help me out?

I bet if you pull the choke out a click you will lose the bog. As for your jetting, put it how it was when the bike ran good and just do a plug chop to dial it in lovely. Hope this helps man. You should get more feedback on this as well.
TwistedSheeRida
x2 on clean out the pilot jet, is should run with one of those 2 sizes. You main jet size will probably end up a couple sizes smaller also.

AKheathen
have you adjusted your airscrews yet? start with 1.5 turns from seated, and it should start and run with clean plugs. get it warmmed up and adjust untill it idles the highest, only make small ajustments, and give the engine 10-20n seconds to catch up. once it rewaches the highest, turn them in 1/8 turn and that should be about where you want to be. if they make no difference, then you need to change the pilot, or have another problem, such as an airleak or plugged passage
