The bracket jds makes is the normal and best place to relocate the key. Very simple and looks great.
ban99
prior to powdercoating my frame I welded a large fender washer in the same place these other guys are talking about. Just works out to be the best place i.m.o.
Bansh-eman
I reloacted mine to the trash. All you have to do is jump the wires and you can toss the key out the window.
Fast-Fibers
I reloacted mine to the trash. All you have to do is jump the wires and you can toss the key out the window. That works too. I like to be able to remove my key at the dunes when I leave the bikes out overnight.
J.J.
Home made, no need to modify the wiring loom, should be long enough to reach this position.
bansheesandrider
I mounted mine under the rear of the seat, it sticks up through the hole in the rear plastic that the overflow bottle lid used to reside in. The wires are plenty long, you just have to unwrap the harness and reroute them. I might have even shortened them, I don't remember. I built my own bracket to do it. I to like to have the key switch for when I am away from the bike and it is sitting out.

Koolguyson
That works too. I like to be able to remove my key at the dunes when I leave the bikes out overnight. Hopefully that isn't your security. It takes less than 5 minutes to hotwire a banshee

bansheesandrider
What would you say is the best security? A big mean dog tied to the bike and a .45 under my pillow. I also use a disc lock on each bikes brake rotor and run a braided Kryptonite cable through all the bikes and the frame of the trailer. RagunCajun
I reloacted mine to the trash. All you have to do is jump the wires and you can toss the key out the window. +1. It's pointless. Only thing keys do is piss you off when you forget it. As for theft. It's real easy for someone to figure out how to hot wire a bike once they steal it and it's not at your house anymore. They can just search on bansheehq...
