removing tie rod ends ?

You can use a pickle fork ( found @ any auto store for cheap), or one trick is to hit oposite sides of the joint at the same time with two hammers, the vibration will sometimes cause it to just drop out. Of course if you are replacing the joint and not concerned about the threads you can just knock it out with a hammer.

X2, be careful not to damage the boots on the ball joints when using the fork tool. Another good route if you dont have the tool and all you have is a hammer, so you don't damage the threads place a nut a few threads tight and hammer on that sucker and your threads will be okay. I have used a hammer with good results, just be careful and have good aim. lol .

+1. If your replacing them just hammer them out. take the castle nut off then put the castle nut back on but only about two full turns and have it with a hammer. If that doesn't work get a BFH.

I got a BFH :rotflmao: What about a air chisel for the vibration trick?
