okbeast
Could you take a few pictures and post 'em up? I'm an ME major and enjoy seeing different setups, it's alot easier to know what everyone's talkin about with pics.
sleeper06
I just spoke to greg over at wcr .Im sending the trannies back to him tommorow for a look over,he is pretty confident that there is nothing wrong with the units I have being that they are 5th,6th clutch. He told me he has numerous units in florida running with no problem,so far he has only heard of 1-5s with problems.I guess ill keep you guys posted
wacko2000
TTT Not trying to be a jerk, But we are looking for some answers and advice here on my motor. I do understand that you need some help with yours also, but dont jack my thread. Start you own and these guys will help you out also. But it will get really messy and confusing in here if you start asking questions also. Thanks And to everyone else, thanks for the tips, but everything in my motor was brand new, no used or left over shit here. Carl seriously tried like 15 different combos. Many late nights in his garage trying to get this shifting shit worked out. He spoke to WCR and they seemed to be confident with whats going on here. Even still, I would rather have a cut/modified tranny in there rather than a override ( Dont tell sleeper I said that) But whatever, Im letting Carl make the calls and I trust his judgement. Hopefully, I will be up and running in the next 2-3 weeks at the very most. Any other ideas/info please keep them coming. thanks

BigRed350x
Hey wacko, are you running a modded shift linkage? Is yours milled out on the keeper/adjuster for the shift star pegs?

BigRed350x
No I was laughing at the overide comment.yes his shift shaft is modded, shift pro arm, stock spring, modded star Did HJR undercut any of the gears or just side-cut them? If the gears aren't undercut after you sidecut them you run the risk of the gears forcing themselves apart when engage. That combined with the modded shift star and the easy roll bearing on the arm, it could just be forcing itself back out under power. Did you happen to try a stock shift star with the roller bearing and the HJR transmission? Give us a list of what different options you've tried and what it did when you test-rode it with each option. See if we can't figure something out or at least try and help with ideas of crap to check... - Jared

BigRed350x
They poured hot lead into his transmission and threw it in the river... lol
RagunCajun
I beat the crap out of my duneable. Best money i've spent. Again, thanks Dave! Why not install that override you have laying around. If it STILL messes up, then you can look elsewhere for the problem. Just remember to use the recommended shift star and stock spring on that star. Otherwise it can drop a hear while riding due to vibration. Wheelieking, you ordered that override yet
bigborebanshee
Also, could be the way the star is cut. Could be ALOT of issues.. I was running 80hp on a stock trans and it shifted fine.. I'm gonna go with Dave on this one.. I think there is other issues in there other then the trans. Yea cases.
