papa_smurf49319
Curious to see what you guys think of the ground strap, turned kinda a goldish color, didnt know if it was getting to hot, but i heard that the ngk plugs typically turn gold. Also can i tell if my spark advance is ok by looking at the location of the blue line on the ground strap much like a 4 stroke? Usually if theres to much advance its past the 90 degree bend, to little and its before, and dead on is at the 90 degree bend? Correct Also heres a pic of the 1mm wide smoke ring, does it have to be two mm?

dave5.0
Sounds like your in the park man. I don't know crap about what the plugs are supposed to look like but I think you are real close to what I'm running. I've got CEL and DEK needles. Can't remember what is in there now. I think I had a bog of the bottom and richened it up and that cleared it. Not that it has anything to do with your issue. Just needed to tell ya. Have you searched this topic? There are some threads that are a mile long about this exact setup. Another who cares fact, Jim at Passion told me a while back that my motor dynoed at 80 hp at the wheels with CPIs. That was before I bought it. Same setup I'm running though. It should rip with Shearers. I ran Vitos on it before and it was nice. Now I have Shearers. Gonna give those a try. 4stroker
papa_smurf have you asked jim himself? he was really helpful with my 12 port RZ and my buddies 7mm Trex that he built for us, and we are on the other side of the world (australia) sometimes he would be on the phone to us until midnight his time helping us dial the bikes in... seems like there is alot of happy passion 12 port owners on here, good to see! jim is a great engine builder with excellent after sales service. sometimes he can be hard to get hold of or take a little long to do an engine, but its only because he is so busy, and it is definitelty worth the wait in the end! another buddy of mine is currently waiting on his new passion 12 port 4mm stroker set up to be delivered. its going into his '09. we went with a mild set up on pump gas, 33s and DMC alien pipes, for an all round play bike, should be fun cant wait! mark
