Sandking
What's the power difference BTW a 4 mill and a stock stroke with the same dune port power wise.
shanYE west
about 5hp..
Sandking
That's a small increase considering the added expense
shanYE west
I should have said 7hp +/- depending on the porting.
Sandking
I'm going to get an aggressive dune port by Hjr and figgured it'll be an extra grand for a 4mill. I already have v force 2s and dual 35s and didn't know if its worth the money. I'm 100% duner in glamis

bbcmudtruck
I noticed a considerable amount of usuable power from stock stroke dune port to 4mil dune port. Alot more torque and trail friendly for sure.
Sandking
Do you have to do any tran mods for the 4mill or will the stock Trans work
shanYE west
dont think of it as a # but rather a % of gain 5-7hp is a nice chunk. its a 15-20% gain in power No other supporting mods are needed.

Exactly. 7hp doesnt sound like much, but its enough to stretch your arms out when you stab that throttle.
sleeper06
Dont be so sure it will shift, depends on porting,HP
SonOfSand
Here is what you have to consider, most builders will tell you to weld the crank if you are having porting done. If you take they're advice (which you should) you have to split the case and pay like 50 bucks to have it done. Why not spend the 450 on a brand new crank that adds power and reliability, not to mention the ability to step up to 4 mil cub down the road with little or no hassle. I used this logic when Kevin did mine, and I sold my stock crank on ebay for about 120 bucks, It's a no brain-er if you have the extra cash. The difference between my bike then and now is enormous. Go with the 4 mil!
