robert.b.west
When I give it wide open throttle from a stop it seems to take some throttle then stutter for about a second or two then it will rev all the way.Almost positive that it is not jetting because the problem just arose out of no where one weekend after the jetting was fine for months. Could this be an electrical problem? Stator, coil, cdi? I have no idea any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
springer
try easy stuff first... take your carbs apart and clean everything. uses a small piece of wire, like a wire brush bristle, to clean the holes in the jets. try new plugs, maybe those ones work, but are past their prime. if you already did this, sorry, i'm new... GrMeyer
If the weather is warmer then it is jetting. It was good for the winter. But now its starting to warm up. Try turning the air screws 1/4 turn out and see how that feels. But I would clean the carbs anyways for the hell of it to make sure they are clean anyways. Better to start there and eliminate something from being clogged. Also, if you over oil the filter/filters, the oil will work its way to the slides and collect the fine dust that is past buy and make the slides start sticking. Just and FYI. AKheathen
yah, simple first, lol. what changed? did the temps get above freezing, where humidity will jump, and make you rich? was it a difference between new fuel, or really old fuel added? how are the air filters? check for airleaks and dirty carbs. dirtydownunder
well, i would have thought spark plugs would be the easiest thing to try first. check your coil, leads and sparkplug caps for correct resistance.
robert.b.west
When the problem started a while back in september there was not much weather change from the last couple time it had been rode. I have taken the carbs off and I did clean them. I will see if that helps when it is back together. I was just trying to think of something else it could be because jetting just did not make sense why it is doing this. I can be riding full throttle high rpms and it will just cut out for a second stutter at low rpms then the power comes back.

Nothing really changed but I will check for air leaks and clean the carbs.
