westboundmack
Im sure this is a "newb" question but, im going to ask anyway. What is the difference between J-Arms and A-Arms? I honestly never heard of J-Arms until I stumbled across a shee that I wanted to get, an the seller mentioned it to me. I did a little bit of research but the only thing I found was that they came on the 87'-90' models and everything after that is A-Arm. Im asking because Im in the process of building a motor an wanted to start on my suspension, as I want to have the engine & suspension ready to go before I get my shee. So again What are the differences between the two? An if necessary, how hard would it be to convert to A-Arm on the J-Arm models? Thanks in advance... GrMeyer
The J arm is just like it says. It is the top arm and looks like a J and not an A. But I would wait to do the suspension tell you get the quad. Because then you will see what you need for parts. But most likely, the shocks will need to be rebuilt. And the stock pogo front shocks you cant rebuild. And well, they just flat out suck.
peterlocal22
as far as converting j arms to a arms its not difficult at all. you can buy a kit for the conversion. if u do a search you wull see some examples on this site. good luck and postpics when u get the bike complete
