dirtydownunder
so i bought the curve maker and i have windows vista. i emailed dynatek and they got back to me 2 weeks later (i thought they forgot). here is his reply, Hello Andrew, Thank you for your interest in Dynatek ignitions. The Dyna reprogramming kits are only available to work on the 32 bit Microsoft systems. They will not work with the MS Windows NT, Windows XP Professional 64 bit system, or the Vista 64 bit system. All update info is available from our web page at http://www.dynaonline.com/skins/downloads/ and just pick your application, making sure you delete the old application of Dynatek ATV from remove/ delete programs, then download the new program from our web page, including the new "JAVA" program, which is part of it. Make sure if you are using the USB programming kit, that you download the "USB Driver" from the same section. If you are using Windows Vista, and it is definitely the 32 bit system, then make sure you disable the "User Account Control"; "i was told to turn off my security and this should> work (it didnt)" It is not referred to in the versions of Vista we have seen as "security". In the Start/ Pearl(?)menu, control panel, and then User Accounts. In there you will find the "tab" to turn on or off the "User Account Control". Make sure after you download and do the set up, you turn your "User Account Control" back on. If we can be of further assistance, please contact us again. this worked and now i can use the curve maker on vista !!!!!!. Snopczynski
I use it on XP. I downgraded my Java to their version and it worked just fine.
