01banch
I apologize in advance for the 37 questions I have asked during the build of my motor. But just like the money I spent on the parts I would prefer not to cut any corners sooo.... The pancake bearing I have seems to stick out and the nut does not fall into hte outer clutch Hub I am curious if that is how it's supposed to be. Also I have the outer hub sitting against a washer which sits against the bearing which sits against the other washer then the rest of the assembly. Is this the correct oreder the pieces should go? I have apicture to show you question number one. and can get a picture to number 2 if need be.

I have apicture to show you question number one. and can get a picture to number 2 if need be. what kind of adjuster is that? is it a stocker with the needle (pancake) bearing added or a cascade or..........? it looks to me like your adjuster is sticking too far out away from your pressure plate. maybe it only seems that way because you dont have the rest of your clutch assembled in that picture. it sounds like you have the order of pieces in there correctly. dave5.0
Ya that looks funny to me too. Not what mine looked like anyway. I'd be interested in seeing the pieces unassembled. Edited February 17, 2010 by dave5.
Bansh-eman
My Cascade/Packard adjuster goes adjuster/washer/bearing/washer/presure plate/nut. The nut sticks out just enough to get a wrench on it to hold it.

01banch
Thats Why I am asking before assembling it all the way. It is a HJR pancake bearing if that helps sitting next to the stock one it is taller (the pancake bearing)
AKheathen
yah, the washers go on either side of the bearing......dumb q- you didn't assemble it on the outside of the pressure plate, did you? can't tell form the pic. also- try putting your clutch packs in to set it....... 01banch
It is on the inside like the stock one would go. I will toss the clutches int there and see if it is any closer this was a mock up for me to see if everything was going to fit correctly as I am still waiting on my billet clutch basket. locogato11283
did you slide the adjuster in from the inside? meaning, you didnt just slide it through from the outside did you? thats kinda what it looks like. do you have another view? 01banch
I put the pancake bearing on before the outer clutch hub

KEVSWS6
Bad drawing of the throw out plate but that's how it is done. The washers and bearings are on the inside of the plate. Only the nipple, threaded shaft and nut are on the outside of the plate. The nipple is long enough so you can hold it with a wrench to tighten down the 12mm nut with a separate wrench.
