alf44 Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 HMMMM! I LIKE THESE. THERE MAY BE SOME OF THESE ON A BIKE OF MINE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. Quote
Fast-Fibers Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 I still do the drag fenders as well, they are like you said just trimmed up a little more than the stockers. Quote
dajogejr Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Not to be a thread killer...how thick are these things? JD...I'm gonna have to see yours. I hate my fiberglass fullbores. Pain in the ass to put on...fit like pooh... Quote

Pain in the ass to put on...fit like pooh... I have never had a mill gauge on them so I'm not 100% positive on an exact measurement, also I spray them so they will vary slightly from fender to fender. The are similar in weight to stock fenders (little lighter). I would suggest that if you live close to JD to just go check them out and let me know what you think! Quote
dajogejr Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 I will see JD at the track sooner or later...thanks for the quick response. My fullbore is easily 3-4 times thicker.. Light, but not what I'd call flexible... Quote
Fast-Fibers Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Yea the fiberglass isn't as flexible as the oem stuff. With a stock gas tank I suggest that you pick the bars up to install the hood. You don't have to remove any of the controls just loosen the bars pick them up and slide it on, its pretty simple. I however run an aluminum tank and they just slide right on. Quote
