Override?

I've got a Passion 4 mill with I think drag port cylinders that I'm gonna put back together. I want this buttery smooth shifting that everybody talks about. Can I make it shift like my LTR does? It's really smooth. Even under power. The bike is gonna be a drag/play bike. No trails or anything like that. Mainly sand. I still want the most ridability but am tired of missing shifts. I'll be racing anywhere from 300' to 600'. Sometimes I click into 5th and 6th at the end of a run. I'm also gonna run a Slingshot undercover lockup. Any other stuff I have to do besides? Any other supporting hardware I'll need with it?

We use and stock the Extreme Dunables with great results. 1-5 seems to work great for what your doing.

Hollar if you want more info.

I would suggest the same as FASTOYS. The extreme duneable is a nice unit. Haven't heard of any complaints about them yet. If you can't afford the extreme and have access to a good machine shop there are a few things you can do yourself that are cheap. Just involves splitting gears off the trans shafts. Lots of stupid little snap rings and washers... Side-cut your gears, shift star mod, put your shift drum on bearings, roller bearing from cascade (with the stock tension spring). These things will greatly improve your shifting feel and confidence, but won't provide the full-blown clutchless upshifts of the override.

I have an undercover vito's slingshot with a duneable neutral down 1-5 override. I never need or want 6th when i have my pro wedges on. It would struggle to pull 6th if i had it anyways seeing how i run 15/41.

I went do some test races on mine yesterday with my new tires. Either my clutch is slipping or it's jumping out of gear. But i have faith in my tranny so time for a FAST clutch! Plus i have a damn shift kit in mine. Very easy for the SOB to come outa gear. I needa change that.

Make sure your pancake is adjusted right, use both balls in each groove in the slingshot.

Make sure your pressure plate and hub are in good shape.

If any of it is questionable...replace them all. FAST clutch is 90ish or so, 50 ish for the new OEM inner and outer.

I usually go two seasons on the inner and outer and replace them, just because.

I had my FAST clutch last 3 seasons of abuse...still keep it as a backup and went back to a FAST clutch for 2009 after a raptor clutch in 2008 was bad after a year.
