3lue by u
Ok I put on the FMF Gnarlys and K&N and changed the jets to some 280s and needle on third clip and air mixture screws 2 turns out. I had them 1.5 turns out and it seemed to hesitate when I nailed the throttle so I turned it out the extra half of a turn. I was out riding on saturday and it ran decent but was popping an snapping from time to time. Granted it was warmer than when I jetted for so I probably need to rejet down to ? I have 210s that were on it and some 270's and the three that came in the jet kit I got raped on. I think it is like 190 280 and 340. I plan on getting every jet imaginable. Well all that are needed anyway. Edited January 25, 2010 by 3lue by u
GrMeyer
Are you running the air box? Lid? Snorkel? Mods in lid? Porting? Elevation? Temp? remember that clockwise; which is richer on the air mix screw. Also read up on this. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html
SAVAGE420
Your lean as all hell. Atleast on the top. Get on that before you melt the pistons. Read the link posted and also do a Proper plug chop after you richen it up. Always start rich and work your way down. If you cant do it by feel or experience, well then do this too the "T" and don't miss or mess with any of the steps. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html

3lue by u
Airbox no lid and I think I am like 1100 ft and it was around 40-45. Dont think it is ported. I am looking for a wide open field to do the plug chop. So you think that 280 is lean?
fastbanshee8
FMF's like a richer pilot jet, than most pipes. Get some 27.5 pilots, and put them in.
GrMeyer
With that temp, you should be in the 300's for the main.
RadarRacing
I've seen 310s be lean and a few that liked 350s with pod filters. Popping or backfiring is lean, not a little or slightly lean. That would be burndown lean.
3lue by u
Where is a good place to get jets? jetsrus.com? or ebay. Also do I want Genuine Mikuni or OEM style? or does it matter? I know I will never buy a Moose racing jet kit again after seeing the prices on jetsrus. what range is good to get I was thinking from 190-360. shanYE west
on stock porting with pods I usually end up around 290 on the mains with 27.5 pilots.. BUT.. thats in 75 degree weather.. in 40-45 degree weather.. your Definitely lean.. I'd throw a 310 in there and jump the pilot one size.. maybe 2.
