Won't Kick Start or Idle.....HELP!

I had an issue a month back..... replaced the coil, stator and flywheel. That solved the issue and I ran it all day long no problems. Week later it won't kick start or stay at idle but I can push start it in 2nd and keep it running with the throttle. Note I didn't re-jet it for colder weather. Maybe I need to re-jet, any ideas?

Thanks!

Hard starting is a sign that it's lean. Try a bigger set of pilot jets, or turn the air mixture screws in, and see what happens.

Turned screw all the may in and same issue.

or possibly it is has low compression, or check and see if the tube that connects the 2 carbs choke is still on there

Not sure about compression but it is a pretty fresh motor. Also I am running single carb set-up.

Next weekend I'll change out the pilot jet. I am thinking that's the issue bc my buddy with his carbed 450 is having the same issue which started at the same time.

Thanks

ah the vaccum hose is what i was trying to say lol. my mind drew a blank for a minute..

i had the same problem with mine and it was running way to lean. i had 220 mains and went with 280's.. also did one size bigger on pilots

well, you do need to go up 2-3 sizes on the main, so i would start there, and give it a good cleaning while you are in there. make sure to get the pilot passageways. definately do a compression check, and look for oil separation in the cold. one thing you can do to rule that out, is drain it all in a warm place, shake it up good, and keep it warm and put it in when you are ready to start it up
