A-Arm Installation

Hey guys,

I tried installing a set of Laeger +2+1 LT A-Arms this afternoon and found out that I need a special tool to get the ball joints off. Is this true? Do any of the suspension guru's here know of a trick to do it (relatively safely) without this special tool?

Thanks for all your help.

Cheers,

Mike

If you trying to get the ball joints to pop outa the spindles just give the spindles a good couple wacks with a hammer lightly till she pops out. Or if shees really tight, just thread the castle nuts on so that the top of the nut is Flush with the top of the threaded part of the ball joint. Then smack the top of the nut with a hammer and she will pop free. It works quick.

Good luck

I used a old small battery teminal puller works great found it to work better than those special tools they tend to tear the dust boots, good luck to you!

Hey guys,

Thanks for the tips. I'll give it a go in the next few days and get back to you.

This is the kit I went for. I'll be sure to let you know how they fit/perform. But they sent me the wrong colour A-Arms so they will be getting powdercoated (at ATVGalaxy's expense) so that will hold up the install a little.

Cheers,

Mike
