00sheerzr
well i took my banshee out for a rip down the street and i wound out real strong from 2nd to 5th but when i it 6th i could not get into the powerband without blipping the clutch for a second, when i did that it hit real strong, could this be a jetting issue, i think im right about perfect with the jetting, it doesnt bog anywhere in the rpm range and started 1st kick cold Edited January 20, 2010 by 00sheerzr
01banch
gearing is your problem. You are geared to tall to pull 6th gear like you think it should pull.

00sheerzr
if stock gearing is tall then i think im going up 2 in the rear when the sprockets get worn, and if anything im alittle rich on top and timing is stock
theoriginal87
defiantly a jetting issue if the bike runs perfect other than up top.... i would say your either really lean or rich on the jets, i had the same problem at first and it turned out i was way rich on my mains. what mods, elev. , temps. , and what jets are in there now? there could also be other problems causing this as well but proper jetting is essential in a banshee and the last thing u want to do i burn her down... J-Madd
Throw some bigger mains in there and see what happens. 340s or so,then you can always jet back down. Usually no need for the 27.5 pilots with T5s, but it does make it easier to start.

J-Madd
If you have stock gearing (and tires), you should be able to wind 6th gear all the way out, no problem. I find it hard to believe that 310s would still be rich, but if 320s sputtered, the 310s probably would still be a little fat. I run my bolt on modded stocker pig rich with 350 mains in it and it winds 6th tight with 15/41 gearing.
blowit
Usually that setup will dial in with a 290-300 with your elevation and temp. I think we have a different prospective on "falling flat". Rich conditions tend to smoke and blubber and lean conditions sound like they are getting there but your butt says otherwise... Let those plugs talk to you... I think you will be happy in the 290 range. I certainly do not think you need to go richer. I usually dial in T5s here on a 280 main and about 300 with pods and 310 with our intake kit.. Brandon
theoriginal87
i would guess 280-290's for your bike and also make sure your airscrews are tuned properly of your having problems at the bottom of the gears
yamaha04
i think 290,s would be good thats what i run with t5s. i ran stock gearing and had to move up a tooth on the front sprocket because it would just rev out. if your jetting doesnt fix it i would say theres another problem
