rudy2191
hello everyone, i have a problem and i hope you guys can give me ideas how to solve it. i bought a banshee about 3 months ago and it ran fine. i went riding about a week ago, and a buddy of mine was using it,( i dk why i let him borrow it) and it was running fine until we heard a noise on the engine. it sounds like something scratching so we turned it off, and i fired it up again and it fires up although when i put it in gear and let go of the clutch it starts making a loud scratching noise. so we left it alone, i thought maybe it was the clutch, so today i started taking it apart, alothough when i have it on neutral and i push it, it makes that scratching noise at times it will go away then come back. so i took a look in the clutch and it seems to be okay. im killing myself here, maybe i am wrong it is the clutch or a bearing inside the engine any help would be great thankyou very much

Givin Em Hell
I just got my bike running the other day. i have an overide in mine and it kept popping in and out 2nd gear. it didn't have a perfect rhythm so that was really throwing me off. After cracking the case I learned that it was a cracked shift fork. I did experience a noise that got louder as the motor revved. 1 of the screws holding the shift shaft backed out and went between my main gear on the clutch basket and crankshaft. Needed a new clutch basket. Edited January 14, 2010 by Givin Em Hell

AKheathen
is your output seal leaking at all? sounds like it may be a bad bearing on the output shaft

fck55mph
You say it makes the sound when the motor is running or cut off and when you roll it?? Put it on a stand and check your axle bearings. Sounds like that might be it
