baker Posted January 13, 2010 Report Share Posted January 13, 2010 wasup guys? my shee is undergoing a rebuild so for now im tryin to beat on this warrior i got, its got a 400cc streetbike motor in it well it runs great in neutral but when you try to ride it it kinda pops and sounds like its sucking air-boggy sound- its got somewhat open filters on it kind of like a k&n for bikes, i checked the intake boots they have some small dryrot cracks on the outside but the insides look fine, i cleaned the carbs and the jets still no help. any ideas what i should try now thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AKheathen Posted January 14, 2010 Report Share Posted January 14, 2010 well, does it have the same intake and exhaust restrictions as the bike it came out of, and did it run with the current jetting and setup before? also, if it is alot colder, it will be leaner. something as simple as removing the muffler baffle can significantly change the jetting, just like a 2 stroke. Use carb cleaner and spray the intakes down at idle and with the throttle cracked open to double check can make sure the cracks aren't all the way through.
