lmaloch
I've been thinking about getting a second quad for the wife, or brother, or anyone else i decide to take along would have something to ride. I was looking at the raptor 660 or suzuki ltz 400. Now that i've been riding the shee for a month i got on my buddys ltz and realized although i used to like riding it, now i think it sucks big donkey balls compared to the shee. I'm wanting to do a complete new buildup of the banshee i'm riding now and i figure i can take the better parts between the two (the one i own and the one i'm thinking about buying), make a good all around bike then taking the other down for the rebuild. So am i crazy for wanting a second banshee or should i just get a four poke?
LiftdT4R
I used to have 2, but I sold one so I could build another one, which I havent started yet. I say buy another one. Now that you know how to work on it, a second one will be a breeze. I also like the fact that I only have to have spare parts for one type of bike hangin around. lmaloch
That's what i was thinking about the spare parts. In a pinch i could even rob parts from one for the other if need be.

It's a big advantage. I was never big on 4 stroke sport bikes. I don't race, I just like tooling around, and I never really found any 4 strokes that were as fun to ride as a Banshee, even the Rappy 700s and new 450s. The 450s handle like a dream, but they just don't make power the way a shee does. The only 4 strokes I have ever owned were 4x4s, unless you can find an old Polaris 2 stroke 4x4 you really don't have much of a choice in that area. shanYE west
I bought a 450.. So now I have 2 "purpose" built machines.. Best of both worlds.
bansheesandrider
I have 2 running Banshees, 1 frame and cases that I am building from the ground up, and a Blaster for my kid. I would stay with the Banshee, you are familiar with them, they are cheap compared to the four strokes and you won't have to carry as many spare parts, plus if they are similar vintage you can rob parts from one to troubleshoot the other.
