CajunDuner
Hey guys, I just got bike back from the shop today. I had to bring it in because my clutch rod and ball seized up after upgrading to stiffer springs and stuff so they upgraded me to the pancake bearing adjuster. But i also had my guy rejet my bottom end cause it was running like crap on bottom end. Well whenever I looked at the bike at the shop before i picked it up I noticed that he dropped the spark plug heat from the stock NGK 8 to a NGK 9. Just wondering why you think he might have done this...Im planning on asking him myself but he wasnt at the shop today.
sleeper06
Thats a colder plug, that would give you a richer condition
J-Madd
I'd call and ask him. Probably just a mistake. On gas, you'll always need to run the "8" series plugs. On alky you run "9" and sometimes "10."
CajunDuner
Thats a colder plug, that would give you a richer condition So im guessing its not unheard of to run colder plugs in banshees? It runs great, but i find it is a little harder to start it, which id point towards the colder plug for doing that.

Bansh-eman
Do like J-Madd said and call the guy to see if there was a reason or if it was a mistake. You should be running 8 series plugs unless there is a specific reason you needed to drop to a colder plug.
dajogejr
There may be a perfectly good reason to run a 9 on gas...some people setup and jet their motor that way.
