fastbanshee8
It's 20 ft. lbs., on the torque, and cool heads don't use a head gasket, they use o-rings to seal them. Believe it, or not, but there have been quite a few people try to use a regular head gasket with an aftermarket head, that's o-ring sealed, and it usually leaks. alf44
you have too torque them in a cross pattern. I can get you the replacement oring kit for $

I'm really anal on my bikes, so I tighten everything to 5ft-lbs, than 10, then 15, then 20 in the pattern specified in Clymer's. Ive never had a head gasket, or or-ing kit leak in the 5 top ends Ive done. If you have a straight edge you may want to double check the cool head and tops of cylinders to make sure they havent warped.

Hilarious
also another good thing to do to teh orings is when you open teh bag toss in a dab of vaseline and mix the bag up and they stay in the slots and not fall out when you put it together that is almost a requirement. i hadnt had any sucess installing the o-rings without putting some kind of grease on them to make them stick to the cool head. lol poorboy, did you wind up getting another banshee or tired of your can-am again? lol

bbcmudtruck
Like stated above, use some lithium grease/vasoline etc, on the orings when you install them. Be sure not to over tighten them or you will pinch an oring and it will leak again. Be sure to retighten them after you ride it once also.
