Gurny48
I went to winterize my shee because I am going on a couple of month deployment and she didn't start. It wasen't getting any spark. Checked all the wires, ohmed the coil, checked the flywheel and pick up, and run/stop switch. Every thing was good. Here is the weird thing when i kick it normally sounds like an engine just turning over no spark. When i kick it slow it pops and kicks back at me like its trying to start. It has been very cold lately but it ran fine about 3 weeks ago. Has anyone had this problem or any help would be helpful. Thanks
00sheerzr
if your tors is still on disconnect the little black box under the gas tank on the left side, i had the same problem just unplug and boom there was spark
Gurny48
The TORS has been gone for a long time now. I am cleaning all the conections today and still doing the same thing.
J-Madd
Did you verify that it has no spark, or are you just going by the sound of it when you kick it over? Sounds like its out of time to me.
fastbanshee8
I agree with J-Madd on this one. If the timing is screwed up, they will kick back. You don't by chance, have one of the off-set timing keys in it do you? If so, it could be sheared, or in backwards. If that's not the case, then maybe you sheared the flywheel key. Gurny48
I have the timing advanced but I haven't taken off the flywheel. It ran fine the last time it ran and I haven't done anything to it since. Definetly no spark, I took the spark plug out of the head put it in the plug and nothing. I even stuck a screw driver in the cap, held it with my hand and kicked it over. No shock. I am stumped. I know its hard to trouble shoot when your not there but all the help is appreciated.
