quikshee
What is the size of the front sprocket nut? and what tips can you give me to make it easier to remove? The front sprocket size is 32mm, use an impact or put a ratchet on there and smack it with a rubber mallet (poor mans impact). It also helps to mod your stator cover like this for a quick change: Edited January 6, 2010 by quikshee

quikshee
Yes, righty tighty, lefty loosey. The only reverse thread is for the flywheel I believe.
polkaudio
It's standard type threads. Don't forget to look at the condition of the locking washer. If it's bad, replace it.

I just ordered a new washer. It is looking pretty bad. I don't have a 32mm socket, so I'm just waiting to have time to go out and get one. locogato11283
i dont run my front sprockets tight enough to need an impact to take them off. i use a 1 1/4" socket and a ratchet to loosen or tighten mine. as long as you have the lock washer on it, theres no need to use an impact on it. RagunCajun
Call me lazy then, i use an impact gun. Very lightly though since it has the lock washer.
