Hey guys. I'm looking to get a banshee and found this site while do some research, awesome site! I've never owned a banshee but rode one bout 2 years ago and knew I had to have one. I'm going to go look at one thursday. Might trade my kfx400 for it maybe, if it's a nice enough quad. Judging from the parts he has replaced it sounds like it has been wrecked. this is how he described it

"it does have a bent front wheel and needs a right front wheel bearing. and the front fenders were shaved and the back has crease marks in them also. but it has new tires fresh rebuild, new brakes and swing arm bearings, and new tire rod ends, handle bars, a-arms, its also bored .40 over with t5 exhaust and 300 jets. with a k&n air box lid and filter".

Here is the ad.

What do you guys think? Give it a look or steer clear?

yo homie, welcome to HQ

i took a look at the ad and i think if youre not in a hurry you can probably find a better deal out there. i know waiting sucks, but for that kind of money you should be able to find something a little better, even if you have to drive a little ways to get it. i would steer clear of it if you think it might have been wrecked.

have you posted a wanted ad on craigslist? you could try doing that with what you want and see what kind of responses you get. you could also post a wanted ad here on HQ too.

be patient and the right bike will come to you.

I agree with loco. There is alot of stress marks in the pics so its probably been rolled, it could have alot more wronge with it than you can see. Be patient and you will find a better deal.

And welcome to BHQ

i agree take it from another newbie here at BHQ , i waited 10 yrs before i got my 05 ( notsaying you should wait that long L.O.L) but i bought mine brand new in 05 when i heard they where going to discontinue them BAD IDEA IN MY OPINION!!!!! it was just a case of money for me. but you really should find one in better condition there are out there just takes some time.

I added the kfx to craigslist yesterday.

It's not perfect either. It has crease marks in the fenders also. It has some aftermarket parts though.

I have a 400ex that is my main ride. The kfx is a good bit faster than my 400ex though. The kfx is just a back-up quad that I just tinker around with.

On the east coast you can find some smoking deals, because there isn't a big demand for these bikes out here. That seems a little high priced, Ive bought running bikes in decent shape for 1500 out in PA. If you can get him down to 2000, it wouldnt be a terrible deal, but I would say more than likely plan on doing some work yourself on the bike. I know everytime I pcik something up that I plan on keeping for any length of time I always dig into the carbs to make sure the jetting is on spot. There are a lot of knuckle heads that really screw up the jetting on these bikes, and that just kills them. Either way, good luck with your purchase!!! I'm sure you wont be dissapointed.
