Has anyone used one of these kits? How do they compare to having your stock jugs ported and bored? Is it truely bolt on, or are there other mods you need to make? Do you also need to buy larger carbs? I was considering having my stock cylinders bored and ported, but this may be a simpler option. Does anyone have any feedback? Thanks

there was a topic on this not long ago in the review section

not much info was given and not many had used it.

i would give your jugs to a site sponsor like HJR or f.a.s.t

they will port it to your needs there porting is like magic and you will be VERY happy

:)

Yah I sent HJR an email earlier today, then came upon these and like any (ATV) junky, I was looking for a quick fix. I am alway a fan of useing site sponsors and will probably go that way. Still trying to justify spending more money on ATV's. Thanks for your intervention.

porting will only take your bike so far........ the kit is a bigbore kit, adding an additional 34cc, thats pretty significant if u ask me. there is a famous atv quote from an unknown origin "there's no replacement for displacement."

adding more cc in my opinion is better than porting, but combining the 2 is a killer combo.

i totaly agree about ccs being better..

but whats the quality of these kits?

heres a quote for you :)

"Quality begins on the inside... and then works its way out."

If your looking for a bolt on kit, save yourself a few bucks and get the vitos big bore cylinder kit.I run the 4 mill cylinders, the are 10 port cylinders.

they also have a stock stroke setup

If you already have a coolhead, then all you will need is domes.

I run these cylinders with 30mm carbs and fmf pipes and this thing is scary for a trail bike.

i can honestly say that today is the first time ive ever seen them before. its hard to believe a performance hindering product would survive in that banshee aftermarket, to me they look like stock jugs with a larger sleeve. notice they dont show the ports

they look alot like vitos bigbores <_<

we need some of the big boys to do a cylinder shootout on the dyno

i think id stay with proven porting till these kits are proven by some1 other than me :)

All the Vitos big bore cylinders need is a little clean up on the transfer tunnels, after that,i would put them up against any ported cylinders that are not cubs.

ahh cool as some1 with some first hand experience with these

so there a pretty good setup hey?

i was going to go these but i went the safe proven way of HJR porting and a +4mill build

because i couldnt find any real info on them :)

He's got the kit on flebay for 1500.

Not a stellar deal, just average.

The cubs are built as a top end screamer motor.

If someone wanted something a little more tame, I'd go with the Vito's big bore cylinders if you wanted to bolt on.

I'd bet a few builders on this site could get stockers to run just as hard as these cylinders though...you're not getting as much power from the bore as you would a longer stroked crank.
