(now on the girl friends shee).. fmf stts and they are a good overall pipe.. they have pretty good power down low.. and pull to the top pretty good.. so if your looking for a pretty good low a better mid and an alright top.. the stts are pretty good but you will find there are a lot of "over all" powered pipes around But what sort of power are you after? like low mid or top? toomeys t5s are another pipe like the stts also

Tight woods riding is my favorite but theres not much here where i live so.... now iam thinknig of getting something thats going to give an overall power increase. When i purchased the gnarlys the assholes sent me powercore 2 sst siliencers...still sitting in the box. so iam thinking that depending on the answers i get here i may put the gnarlys on ebay and get a set of SST pipes... maybe them sending sst silencers was a sign from the banshee gods? lmao. I want something that will giv me a power increase in the woods and down those fire roads at WOT. BTW i am already patial to FMF

BTW i am already patial to FMF well that the riding i do.. i really liked the stts and i would go back to them they are a good overall pipe for that sort of riding style they have enough low to pick up the wheels at low end (easy) and pull pretty good to the top (they dont have the top of my cpis tho)
Crazyatvspazz
(they dont have the top of my cpis tho) yhea i understand that there not going to be the best at every one thing...iam looking for a blend of increases if that makes sence. SOunds to me from the prompt responses (which I REALLY APPRECIATE) the ssts are what i want. Ive ordered a timing plate from chariot i was planing on setting that at +4 and i got boesen power reeds and i was planning on getting some noss cool heads 21cc domes for pump gas DOES THIS STILL SOUND GOOD? thanks guys
jbooker82
What do you have for pipes now? I had SST and then went to T5's. The SST's had a little better mid and a little less top end. If your running stock pipes now I can garuntee you will be happy with the SST's. I have to run a sparkarrestor where I ride so I ran the Turb ine Core 2 silencers. GNR101
what would you reccomend being at a higher elevation??? the pipes come with 270 mains and id buy 27.5 pilots so id stick them in and do a plug chop and go from there id say that would be around the ball park maybe get a few sizes up on the mains to say 280 / 290 / 300 once you get the pipes dialed in youll love them
AKheathen
well, you might want to check into t-6's before you jump strait to sst's. they are in the similar "wide band" category. i completely understand being partial to a certain brand, but don't sell yourself short and wonder for that reason. I cant very well go buy a set of t6's then go buy a set of sst's and compare them. Thats just ridiculous. I already have silencers for the sst's. I orginally looked at the t6's but iam not a fan of punching holes in the bottom of my air box for those vents and removing my coolant reservoir. Being able to look at my coolant resiviore quickly to check the level seems important to me. idk input?

I have t6 pipes on the banshee I have now and I had another banshee a while back that had fmf sst pipes. They were fairly close as far as power goes but the toomeys look better and sound 10 times better in my opinion. To run the t6 pipes you don't have to remove the coolant resevoir or use the airbox vents, they are so little I didn't even bother using them. Since you have the silencers for the fmfs I would just try to get some used sst pipes somewhere, I don't think you will be disapointed because they were a good all around pipe.
