KaosBanshee44
When i built my motor and ordered my cub etc. they only came with the extended head stud bolts for the cub. I had to go to the local hardware store and get some head stud bolts myself but come to find out after the months in Texas where you walk in your garage and the humidity is so bad that you almost fall in your own garage i have noticed that the head studs that i got are starting to get a little surface rust. I don't want it to get any worse than it already is so where can i get some nice head stud bolts that will fix this problem? After i tear it down again for a drag port i want to replace the ones i already have. Thanks!
Chariot Performance
Definitely replace the studs from the hardware. I don't know who to recommend but many sponsors on here are likely to have them.
No Limit Powersports
We have arp studs in stock for stock length and pro design length studs. They are stainless and have the allen head broached in the top for easy installation.
badassbanshee479
make sure to loctite the arp studs and nuts if you go that route.... I seen the after math on a 18mill dm when no one informed him to loctite the arp nuts on the cylinders.... needless to say they loosened up.... the cylinder lifted.... and it went boom big time! No Limit Powersports
I have arp studs for the head, and the arp small nuts for the cylinder. We have done hundreds of motors with the arp nuts and never loctited one of them and not one problem to date, I wonder if there were other issues with your build? Tf705
I just noticed that the tops of my head studs are rusting too. they are the prodesign studs. Are they just cheap or what?
