Modified RC
I've been going to Silver Lake since 1991, this last Holloween was my first Glamis trip. It was well worth the drive! I'm going to try to go back once a year. The dune system out there is huge and you can ride all day and night. IMO every off roader needs to go check it out at least once. If you do go, find the hill called China wall.....It's steep, tall, and so much fun.
JTQuad
Also Check out Quadtrips.com Michigan is 9 hours from us and it may save you tons of money on gas or maybe we can swing the tractor trailer closer to you guys and scoop you up. Glamis is the ultimate for duners here in the US - JT

Screaming Yellow Zonker
I think you are a little off on your 28 hour drive... I live just north of Detroit and I drive out there once a year and it takes 42 hours non stop to get to San Diego so take off 3-4 hours for the Glamis to San Diego and you have around 38-39 hour drive. Silver lake isn't nothing compared to this sand box.
