Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted December 26, 2009 Author Report Posted December 26, 2009 Thanks for the tips. I will definitely go with the ball joints now that I hear the bad storys about the heim joints. Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 The hiems will start to squeak after a while, thats really the only reason I would go with ball joints over hiems. Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 The hiems will start to squeak after a while, thats really the only reason I would go with ball joints over hiems. I had a set of ASR +2+1 fully adjustable HD arms on my 4mil duner for 4 years. I had the kevlar heims. They were great arms and held up to everything I ever did with my bike. The squeaking is just from improper maintenance of the heim joints. If you do what ASR tells you to do with them on your regular maintenance schedule they don't squeak. 4 years on mine and they didn't squeak at all. I wouldn't hesitate to go with ASR. Their A-Arms I had were great. Quote
yamaha04 Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 i also have a set of there arms they are great i got mine about 2 years ago maybe more. i have bottom out many off times off big jumps not a problem. they held up great. as for the hemi,s i just spray my with WD40 almost every time i got for a ride and wash my bike they are mine. im not sure what the proper maintenance is supposed to be for them but WD40 has worked for 2+ years.
