Banshee Flywheel Nut

I have a problem. I took the flywheel off this time. Well the key is fine. The flywheel got into one of the stators wires, and cut into it. I tested the stator with an ohm meter and i am showing up 21.7 on my ohm meter. shit, i bet you it fried my stator didn't it?

Post a pic of the damage. as long as it did not get into the coated coil wire, you can easily save it. Show me where it is screwed up and let's go from there. The only place it "might" hit is at the back and that area is easily fixed.

No, the nut is not LH thread, but the puller is. You can certainly go find a nut to get you going but remember to install a washer under it.

 

To say that all nuts are the same, that is not really the case. Many different fits, pitches, etc.

Ahh yes... the FW puller is the left handed thread. I knew somthing was... See told you it's been awhile since I messed with my bike :)

I'll throw a 5 on it that the stator is fine. fix that wire and go ride...

Thanks alot man, you have helped me out quite a bit, you seem like you def. know your stuff.

 

Thread can be closed, I am canceling the order from honda, as I don't need the key or the nut. Shes on there good, and running like a top.

I will when I get home, I am at college right now.

I still cant believe the dude traded me for a 400ex completely stock with exception of being bored to a 416. The stator was out of the banshee he said he just didn't have any cash to fix it, he was still in high school, and he just wanted to trade for a 4 stroke. It still suprises me, its in excellent condition. I am glad he did though.

 

Needs some carb adjustment. She wont idle right now, i drove 4 hours to him to get it. I am going to sync the carbs when I get home manually by using the sight glasses.

 

I am sure it needs some jetting adjustment though, however I want the k&n pods instead of an airbox with the airlid off and a K&N air filter. I also want to get the tors removal as well, so I don't want to mess with the jetting right now unless shes running lean or pretty rich.
