bode1
Why the fuck do you always post dumb ass shit in everyones posts.........Your FUCT! I think he was referrimg to the NAZI like way that NJ regullates it's public lands. They expect you to register and insure your atv, but provide absolutely no public land to ride on. Where do the fees go? Into our blackhole of a budget . Where can you ride here? Private property. If you get caught on state lands they hit you with huge fines and impound your atv. NJ sucks. There is a state park about an hour from me that is 120,000 wooded acres with tons of trails, but only vehicles that are registered for the street can go on them. I guess dual sport bikes are different than enduro bikes.

I guess dual sport bikes are different than enduro bikes. exactly, register our quads and pay fees to the state of nj FOR WHAT!? its such a joke, they collect hundreds of thousands of dollars a year off poor saps, usually older guys with families who just wana be by the book and "legal" only to findout they threw away their hard earned money to the normal jersey politicians to go use it towards the coverup of their next gay affair or what have you, you cant ride anywhere, if you do you end up in county jail and impounded quad and thousands in fines, this is the truth, new jersey is the biggest scam in the union, they literally steal from thousands of offroad vehicle riders every year, with no end in site, and no explanation as to where all that money is going that is being stolen from poor law abiding offroad enthusiasts, it makes me sick anyway sorry for the rant in your thread bode... im sure being a fellow new jersian you understand where im coming from, ive been riding for about 6 years now, and stopped riding my quad in jersey about 4 years ago after having a gun pulled on me by a state trooper for riding on the train tracks.. we were headed to county jail with our quads left unattended on the side of the train tracks and were told that he hoped someone came by and stole them while we were gone.. all this for what? bode1
I get the rant. It sucks here. On a positive note though, we were somehow able to register my brothers KDX for the street, and he can now ride in the forest as he has a license plate. I tried to do the same thing with a kdx I had, but got shot down. I've heard of guys tagging up enduro bikes in VT and ME, than transferring the titles here and getting NJ tags, no such loopholes for atv's. I'm tempted to head up there and ride my quad, tons of sand trails. But don't know where I could safely park, probably somewhere in Chatsworth. MJ, you ever ride in Bellplain? Used to be a blast, people came from all over to ride there. Was like Mad Max the 1st time I went there, but a couple half wits kill themselves sue everyone, now it's shut down. There is really nowhere to ride here. NJ is notrious for robbing peter to pay paul with their money. The state finances are run like a shell game. I'm sure CA makes a ton of money off the fees, but they have tons of places to ride. I wouldn't even care if they only opened the stae lands for part of the year so it doesn't interfere with hunters. I think snowmobiles can ride on state lands, but we get next to no snow.

bode1
It's midway between Wildwood and Philly. Gonna try to give it a shot in a couplw weeks again. I've heard of the rangers in plain clothes laying their dual sport bikes down and acting injured and when you stop to help them they bust you. Not exactly sporting of them. I know you're in North Jersey, what exit are you on the GSP?

I know you're in North Jersey, what exit are you on the GSP? if thats true, thats really fucked up...that is so wrong, thats basically teaching us to ignore our fellow riders now , anyone who hears that is gona think twice before stopping to help what looks to be an injured rider.. i wouldnt put it past them for one minute though.. new jersey is crazy thats funny the GSP comment, the typical new jersey stereotype.. "what exit off the parkway/turnpike are you".. to be honest i have no clue, i never pay attention to signs, ive lived here my whole life and know the roads by site without numbers, i live in hunterdon county though, right off route 78, about 15 miles from PA
Wheelie Ripper
Hey MJ, where in Hunterdon county are you? Im in delaware township so you cant be too far away. As for NJ being dumb, we just dont register our stuff because it does no good anyways. Just be ready to drop a gear and disappear if your ride in this state. I have 2 spots in NJ that are pretty good, but thats only because we have friends that live right near the spots so parking is no big deal. You hear about a spot you wanna check out, but the last thing I want is to get back to my car and have someone there waiting to write me a bunch of tickets and impound my shit. Plus they probably have already run your tag by then, so you can't even wait them out. MJ, I never witnessed the lying the bike down and waiting for help thing, but have heard about it word of mouth down here. also heard about them tagging along with groups of guys and when they all stop and take a break and shut off their stuff and have a beer, than they identify themselvs and start writing you for all the different places you trespassed with them. Again, never me, but heard it word of mouth.
