T-rex's run like crap unless they have a lot of time spent in them. If they are ported by a reputable company. Yes. If they are not ported. No.

banshee332
rudy builds some fast shit. so it all depends what you are up against it would be worth it I think
jlevasseur
Depends if you have to buy new pistons and such as well, If all your going to be in the cylinders to fix them is $800 then might be worth it to fix if is has been ported by a respectable company. In my personal experience I have'nt seen any run that well ( not saying they don't). But for around that price range you can get a cub top end or for a little more you can get a super cub and they make great power without any porting. Your right on that border line on what to do, it could go either way.
dajogejr
I wouldn't waste the money. And that's no knock against Rudy, he's always built fast shit. I just don't think the TRex are worth putting that kind of cheddar into considering there are bolt on cylinders just as good, IMO...with more common pistons, parts, etc.

The price for a super cub is not much more and the return is ALOT. Even a stock stroke SC will be a great runner. You'll be happy you did... banshee332
Just to compare the t-rex to the cub, There are 2 10mill t-rex's built by rudy at our track, the one is a 535 and the other one is just a little bigger around a 550 I think. anyways my cub is a 10mill 465. In my opinion I think my cub is a little quicker but on some runs they will pull about 1-2 more mph then me. but then again the riders are a good 30-50 pounds lighter then me
