Powerstroke
does any one have pics to show where u cut a stock swingarm to shorten it ? how much more traction do a -1 or -2 add? Check out this thread. I have a -1 swingarm still have traction issues. But if you go with a roundhouse style style swingarm its worth the money spent for the easy chain adjustments. motodrumer58
I used these pics last year and the one I did works and looks great. It now houses a R6 shock thanks again
Whitbread
I originally did this just for the roundhouse conversion but it ended up shortening it by about 3/4". Can't really say I noticed a huge difference though. I think I'm going to build a +2 next year to see what I like better. Sorry for the big pics. ban99
Wow, It never crossed my mind to do that. What great ecconomical way to add a roundhouse carrier. One of the coolest ideas I've seen in a long time
Whitbread
Wow, It never crossed my mind to do that. What great ecconomical way to add a roundhouse carrier. One of the coolest ideas I've seen in a long time Thanks . I've always looked at stock swingarms and wondered why no one else has done it. It only took 10 mins with an angle grinder to open the "C" up enough for the tube to drop in. Measure 10 times and weld it. The first time I adjusted the chain, it made me wonder why I didn't do it years ago .

Well congratulations then. I've just never seen it mentioned or done on here since I've been a member. I never said I was the first. It's something easy that anyone with decent fab skills can do that makes a hell of an improvement.
