SUPERJETRUSS
I have a HJR 4 mill stroker I just built, NOSS head that has pump/race gas 21cc domes, Ported cylinders by Kevin dont know what port job I think it might be MX but also ported for T5's, Chariot reeds with Chariot billet intake with built in crossover, and my timing set at 4 degrees, and toomey T5 pipes. What jets do you recommend for stock carbs with the tors removed on this setup? MY elevation is around 850 ft.

sleeper06
The only thing that would help alot is exhaust duration #s,most of the shit I wrote down with durations instead of port type,Go rich first see how she feels. If its fresh do a couple of heat cycles with the 360s take it for a rip see how it feels, just dont string it out if its a new build ,let her break in then tune it.You can go crazy jetting b4 the rings are seated properly, plus I baby new motors

fitzazpb
THANKS!! for all the help!!! so what did u come up with, i also have a hjr duner hillshooter ported motor, 4 mil long rod, high compression for 110oct like 18cc, vf3 reeds, t5's and stock carbs with pods. i was told to go 330 or 340 if wanted to be safe and thats at the imperial sand dunes(oh and pilot could stay stock 25). well 340 was rediculous lean and throttle was not snappy< low end bogged. went to 27.5 pilots 1 1/2 turns out on mixture screw and main to 360. throttle snappy now and no more boggin, but main still lean looks like could go to 380 atleast. i just did a pull today in phoenix with brand new plugs that i put in after warm up and shut down while runnin wide open so i know i got a good read. curious to see what u had come up with
Yamahammer
What air filter system are you running and how did the suggestion work out. with pods you usually go up 2 jet size's on the mains. Also what needles are you using stock or aftermarket.

And who make aftermarket needles and are they better than stock?
fastbanshee8
Your hard cold start is because it's too lean. Either turn the air mixture screws in some, or go bigger on the pilot.

It actually runs half way decent with it turned about a 1/4 way out what do you guys recommend for my pilot size I have a 27.5 now should I step up to a 30? and is the plastic piece that slides over the main jet nesacary I was thinking about removing mine if there not needed

It helps keep the fuel from sloshing away from the jets.
pr0blumz
When I had a dune port with stock carbs Kev told me that the air screws shouldn't be turned out no more than 1 full turn and he was right on.
