CPI or T5

what kind of ridig do you do? generally a drag pipe (cpi, shearer, etc..) will make more power than any other in-frame pipe. however, those pipes might not suit the kind of riding you do so i wouldnt base what exhaust you buy off which makes the most peak hp.

cpis will work on a stock banshee...

but vforce reeds are high rev reeds like cpi pipes are so it will work better than stock :)

if ur a dragger or flat out rippin it.. get cpis :)

i did... and i trail sometimes to :)

if u could afford it.. get the shee ported for cpis at the same time.. then feel ur head rip off when u rev her right out :)

I like to drag race and drag up hills can I run cpis with vforce3 reeds and a k&n intake system or will it screw up my motor so if im on the throttle alot which I am the cpis will be better

cpi's will be more what your looking for, but they wont work all that great on a stock motor. i would put the money you would spend on the v-force reeds towards a nice port job.

Of the three shees that I have 2 are ported with CPIs and 1 is not ported with T-5's. The T-5's sound the best, pull like a freight train all the way through and will respond well to porting. If I were building a bike I would buy the T-5's, get decent carbon fiber reeds, advance the timing, get a cool head and up the compresson with smaller domes. HUGE differfence. When you can afford porting get that done and probably some bigger carbs to suit your porting and most likely your T-5s will work well. If not and you keep the T-5's in good shape sell them and get CPI's or Shearers.

Just my .02.

With your riding style I would suggest the CPI's.

If your motor uses stock porting I would raise the exhaust port roof 2mm and widen it about the same, making sure to properly chamfer the port and hone the cylinders when you're done. This will increase your exhaust duration and will really let the pipes shine.

Down the road I would send the jugs off to get drag ported and buy some 35mm carbs to really open her up.

u better do alot more than that if u want to be a draggr, my my duner with t5"s will smoke u with everything talked about, so unless ur gonna dump a bunch of money to become a dragger or straight hillshooter dont bother with cpi's. by the way i still run t5's on a 4mil duner/hillshooter port and high compression, ya of course a 7mil can come along with shearer or cpi inframes and beat me, but oh well, u would have to be a 500plus with head ported 4stroke to hang with me. ya thanx HJR

if you drag race 80% of the time then CPI or Shearer's are the way to go. Shearer's have produced more topend power and rev out longer then CPI's on the dyno that I have seen. If all you do is drag racing then you might think about out of frames. for all around riding you can't beat the power curve of the T-5. If you can swing it I would try for some porting. That with some pipes would be like a night and day difference. Good Luck Man!!
