RadarRacing
Since u said full lid and 20cc domes we can assume a trail/play port so the 700 would eat u alive. The 1" taller tires would suck on the rappy tho. Flat trackin the shee would win but u put this in the drag section. Either bike with a plus 4 swingarm would beat the other. kawiking
700 will take you with that set up ... sorry kevin can throw down a sick port job ... but if u dont have the pipes or exhaust to match ... then your just wasteing a good port job. talk to kevin .. but u need some cpi inframes atleast or even a good set of toomys. if u are goin to do more drag racing, look into sheer pipes. theres alot into making ur bike go fast --- setup !! prob lookin at 34 - 35mm carbs, good clutch ( i run the clutch pack that jeff at f.a.s.t. sells)
donkeypuncher
to say the 700 will eat you alive is an exaggeration. ive raced many 700's that have had atleast k&n open filter and full exhaust and i havnt had any problems kicken some ass. i think the race between your banshee and the 700 will be a close race and come down to who is a better rider and who gets more traction. i agree with kawiking though, if you are going to be doing more dragging then i would invest in a set of cpi's, shearers or even a set of t5's. also, one thing you could do to squeeze a little more hp out of your set up is advance your timing. coronakidd
I dont think the 700 will smoke u how far u racing would drop the front sproket, i would also stroke it ,port the stock cylinders for the stroker crank, get you some carbs then race that slow ass
RadarRacing
He was asking about a Raptor with duals, cams, programmer etc and he was wanting to know if a paul turner airbox stock carb banshee would win. The answer is NOPE.
lazzonya
thanks for all the input guys. I think I may have put my question in the wrong section. Most of my riding is done in NE PA coal country which includes some trails, a lot of climbs, and a lot of old abandoned coal access roads. We also have a sweet "bowl" area that acts like a drag strip for us. i'm looking to keep my bike somewhat friendly on the trails, but at the same time i really want to maximize my top end. the roads we open up on are VERY long and I'm looking to stay with the Raptor(s) over the long haul. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks again for the ideas.

The answer is NOPE. he also said his banshee would be ported buy HJR, it would have 20cc domes and chariot reeds and inside the airbox would be a k&n filter. the answer is YUP. 00tbanshee
not sure how good of a rider you are, but if you are a experienced rider and know how to set it up to hook, you will when over the rapter.your going to have to jump up to a 17 tooth front sprocket and have a decent set of rear tires.if it endes up being close just toss the pipes and get a set of shearers
