bansheesandrider Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Who has the better stainless steel bolt kit for the complete bike? I have been looking at both AlloyBoltz and fastnerguy on Ebay but I don't know who's is better. I want one stop shopping so I don't have to make several trips to the hardware store that is 15 miles away. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 myslf and several others have went with th fastenerguy kits. They are pretty nice. Mine have a little rust inside a few of the allens heads but other then that they are good. Also I have had him send me a few diferant bolts over the last year or so from the threads getting jacked up from installing and removing them. He sent them to me free of charge and even paid shipping. Quote
Velislide Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 I went with AlloyBoltz on Ebay, and wow are they nice. At first I thought something was wrong because the nuts were siezing to the bolts, but you need to use NEVERSIEZE, otherwise it will always happen. I tried WD40 right off the start, didnt help. Neversieze made them go on so easy. Also the quality is amazing, they look like they are chrome, they are polished so nice. They all fit, and the bags are all labeled perfectly. I bought my banshee completely disassembled, and I'm having no problem putting it back together with these labeled bags, dont even need to look at my clymers manual so far. Quote
bansheesandrider Posted October 29, 2009 Author Report Posted October 29, 2009 Anybody else have an opinion? It is tied up 1 to 1 right now. Quote

jerseyrider Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 I just bought the kit from alloybolz ,fast shipping, good price and every piece is here ,nothing missing....Good luck Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Both kits are good. Alloyz had some issues a few years ago when it first got bought out, but it sounds like they worked them out. When most of us got the fastenerguy kits, it was around that time. And he was offering a better deal. Both kits will require you to use Anitseize. You can't go wrong with either of them. Quote

ltd.yfz Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 I'm gonna get these when i powdercoat my modded frame and switch everything over. Quote
dajogejr Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 I'm gonna get these when i powdercoat my modded frame and switch everything over. Here's two things I can tell you from experience. When you power coat a frame, run a quick tap through any and all holes. I don't care how well they're taped off. Second, use a thread lubricant/anti-seizure on each bolt as said. Stainless will gall with the slightest nit, booger, thread imperfection, etc. You absolutely must use some kind of lube or antiseize for each and every bolt. Oh, and I got fastner guy on my bike. I bought 4 kits at once, 3 banshee and one YFZ450 kit...got a little price break and break on shipping. Helluva nice guy to deal with. Quote

Yes i agree from expirience on the first thing Dave said i had to redo my whole frame and had to reweld a lower motor bracket because a bolt got broke off i it. After i got it back from fresh powder i bought a 30 dollar metric tap kit and i will tell you now it works wonders when putting everything back together. It's easy to do and the insurance you get is bar none. Quote
No Limit Powersports Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 Its just the nature of stainless especially into aluminum it galds. Using a small dab of anit-sieze will do wonders. We have our on kits they are 522 pc individually packaged so you know where every single bolt and nut goes. We have them in stock ready to go. The Polished on these if you spring for it is amazing. Polished Standard Show Polish M&M ATV Quote

Polished Standard Show Polish M&M ATV Guess I'm the only one who got a bad kit from fastner guy, only about 1/2 the bolts fit on my banshee, and some not in their intended places. I had to remove all the pivot bolts because they were threaded and too small for the joints (allot of play) and went back to stock. Also the motor mount bolts were not threaded far enough and the bolt shoulder would prevent them from screwing in all the way. There was a bunch of other stuff that did not fit as well but these are the few that I remember. Quote
wacko2000 Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 I have bought 4 sets from alloyboltz, They come very organized and very well packaged/labeled I havent had any break or rust up on me. I use anti-seize where necessary. I would most definitely order from them again. Im sure you wont be disappointed either way, these guys above wouldn't guide you the wrong way. Good luck Quote
