I just bought a bad ass banshee that has alot of mods done to it cheetah supercub 4 mill, carbs intakes etc etc etc pingel etc.Everything on the bike seems to be done perfectly. The only thing im not liking is when i put it in first gear it goes in hard and kinda wants to kill the bike, 1st gear is down. Its weird if i pull the clutch in with it in first gear it wont roll ( With bike Off )? But if i start the bike in N and keep the rpm off idle and put it in gear it kinda clicks in hard then it doesn't move and the clutch works normally and operates normally? I was told it has a 5 spd in it and im assuming its some sort of overide esp since the bikes in the 100 hp range.Just wondering if thats normal for the overide style transmissions? Or if some variation of them did that>? Once I get it in gear everything seems fine just goes in first weird and does that weird shit when the bike is off? any help is appreciated.

That is not normal for an override, they should be as smooth or smoother than stock

What about any kinda clutchs? Would a lockout do that>? Once its in first the clutch works fine with it in gear and the clutch in it doesnt move? Anyone know.

You know what i think it might be the clutch plates sticking. I think im gonna go ride it then see if it still does it.It hasnt been riden in a few months

it's normal for the clutch plates to stick a bit like that. give it enough force, and the tires will roll. only worry about that when it lunges foreward and creep with the clutch pulled in and running in gear. the gear clunk i don't know about. regular gears clink and grab just a little when you stick it in first with the clutch pulled. if you rev it up alot to take off, the lockup will do it's job and grab real well....

Its not really a clunk i cant desribe the sound it just wanted to grab was all with a low idle it killed the bike with the clutch pulled in when i put it in first then i brought it up off idle a lil bit and it went it Tick. Then the clutch worked fine the bike didnt wanna move with it in gear and the clutch in and the clutch worked fine im gonna go ride it today just need some dirt tires and ill see if it fixes the problem the bike hasnt been riden in several months.
