topo
hello I posted here about 2 months ago about my clutch lever bend over. So i got that fixed the rod had mushroomed at the end where it meets the lever and on the other side the steel ball had welded to the adjusting screw, and rod also the lock nut on the adjusting screw had fallen off. Anyways the mechanic where I took it to had to open up the engine, charged me 7 hours worth of labour. Today was the first time riding again since I got back from the mechanic. I started the banshee with the clutch pressed, got the bike going looked down and again the push lever had bent over and popped up. I had replaced the lever, rod, ball, adjusting screw, lever bushings all with original yamaha parts. So my question is what could be causing this? Is there something else i should be replacing? Is seven hours too much to crack open a case? could replacing the pressure plate and springs prevent this? thanks
